I walked past this place all the time and didn't even know it existed until I saw the reviews. This is a great rooftop bar with many great options for drinks and food. I think a lot of times, for rooftop bars, the food is not good because you're here for the ambiance, but this is different. Service was great and attentive, you get that rooftop ambiance of a little darkness and diffused lighting, AND the food and drinks were pretty good and on point. I don't think I ordered any specialty drinks, just old fashioneds, moscow mules, IPAs, those sorts of drinks, but it's nice to see what kind of alcohol they can help you out with. Food was also really good like the mushroom flatbread and the ravioli. The shrimp cocktails were even very good because they were big and chunky, without the frozen taste.

The vibe is great here, especially upstairs with the open view of Long Beach. You are starring out into another building though. We came on a weekday so there was plenty of street parking. I enjoyed everything we order. Loved the flat bread. The bread pudding was special with the rhubarb and pistachios. Delicious. Great service as well- everyone is really friendly and attentive.

Located on Pine Ave. & Broadway, next to Sevilla. There's street parking, but it can be challenging to find a spot during peak hours. We parked about 1 block away in the 'Landmark Square Parking Lot' using the Pine Ave/1st St. entrance and paid $15.50 for 4.5hrs. We made reservations for my friend's birthday dinner on Saturday evening and was such a great choice! I had their 'Bo Burger Royale', which is a double patty and crispy pork belly with pickled-green tomato, lettuce, white cheddar & truffle aioli' accompanied with a 'Dry Apple Cider'. We ordered their 'Brussels Sprouts' & 'Mac 'N Cheese' and shared them as appetizers. Everything tasted amazing. Shout out to our server, Hugo who was extremely attentive and helpful with the menu. He made sure that we had a great birthday dinner experience. After dinner, Hugo described their upstairs rooftap with a full bar, and of course, we decided to go try it. We enjoyed our cocktails with patio-picnic table style seating until their last call, which was 10:45PM (the cocktails were better downstairs, though). Our server upstairs was Daniel C. who was also very attentive and friendly. This is a sign of excellent management. Overall, we had a great experience here and will definitely return.

Had a great dinner experience at BO-beau! This was my first time having dinner in the downstairs area as we usually go upstairs for the bar area. The downstairs was very nice and the food was amazing! We had a very nice and attentive server that gave us food and drink recommendations. We were a party of 7 girls that were there for a bachelorette and we had a great time at dinner. We started with drinks, half of us ordered the Le Romantique (which I ordered) and the other half ordered the rhubarb Paloma. All of us really enjoyed our drink and ordered another! We ended up ordering family style for food, we got the Brussel sprouts, poutine, wagyu sliders, whipped burrata salad, mac n cheese, calamari, and carnivore flatbread. Everything was really good!! Brussels are a must forsure and we really liked the Mac n cheese, but it is heavy so it's good for sharing. The only thing that underwhelmed us were the wagyu sliders, they just tasted like normal sliders and were pretty basic. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our dinner!

Came here for a birthday dinner and service was awesome! Server was on it with ensuring that we were taken care of. I ordered the Steak Frites and had a great taste but was a tad on the fatty side. I recommend trying this place out.

Unbeknowst to me, Bo-Beau has been open in the downtown Long Beach's Pine Avenue district for over a decade. This was my first time dining at Bo-Beau and I was impressed. The ambiance in the main dining room is a pleasant Bohemian chic with an industrial gastropub elegance. The open kitchen faces the dining room. They also have a popular rooftop bar upstairs with a street view. The menu is California comfort food with global influences. We started with their famous brussel sprouts which were excellent. I don't really care for brussel sprouts, but adding house-cured pancetta, parmesan cheese, and balsamic glaze is genius to make it a tasty starter. We also had the baked brie which was very good as well. The brie is served with strawberry compote, basil and honey. One of their most popular dish is the short rib bourguignon. The short ribs were extremely tender served in a delicious au jus. The boiled baby potatoes that came with the dish was not a great side for it. To finish the meal, we had the gateaux chocolat which was very moist and easily satisfied my sweet tooth. Portions were fairly healthy in size but were also reflected by their menu pricing. They have a great specialty cocktail menu. I had the C'est La Vie vodka concoction which was reported to be not very sweet. It was very good, but their pours were weak with very short fills at barely 2/3 of the high ball glass. Cocktails and wine by the glass ranged about $16-22 each. Service was good. Food came out a bit fast even though we were not rushed to give up the table. Parking is a challenge. If you are lucky, you can look for parking in the streets. I parked in Lot C on 3rd Street which is about 2 blocks from Bo-Beau. This lot gives you 2 hours free and $2.00 per 1/2 hour thereafter. Otherwise, there were a lot of other lots that charged as much as $20 flat evening rate. Once parking is found, Bo-Beau is certainly worth your dining dollars.

I hadn't been to Bo-beau Kitchen in some time, but it's even better than what I remember! The ambiance is great, the service was fantastic (especially when you factor in that it was later at night and they were busy). The drinks were solid and the food was sooo, sooo good that I actually forgot to take pictures of some of the dishes. Food: our personal favorites were the Truffle Mushroom Flatbread, which was very hearty and a lot more complex than your typical truffle/mushroom flatbread. The Honey Lavender Bread Pudding & Basque Cheesecake are also a must, literally amazing! Drinks: Both the Stormy Bastille & Rhubarb Paloma were great, but I really preferred the Rhubarb Paloma as it was tequila based and less sweet. Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: 4.5/5

Went here for a friend's birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. We tried many different things (check out my photos!) but my favs were the Burrata salad, baked Brie and rainbow balls! The cocktails were fantastic. My favorite is the C'est La Vie. Service was a bit slow though. We had to ask several times to order/etc.

We stopped by on a Friday for a late 9pm dinner and drinks. We had a reservation but it didn't seem necessary as the place was not very busy. We took the stairs to the 2nd floor and sat in the "rooftop patio" dining area where the crowd seemed to range from mid-20s to 30s. There were some bar-like seating spaces overlooking the main street for people or car watching. There were also picnic-like tables in the main dining area and more private high-top seating spaces off to the sides. The 1st floor dining area had much nicer decor with a more date night vibe. The bars on both floors looked big and nicely stocked. For food, we ordered the jalapeño macaroni and cheese, short rib bourguignon, and lamb & waggyu meatballs. The macNcheese was delectable! The meatballs were a bit dry, and the short ribs were just ok. Overall, I loved the look of the big open space with its dim lights, high ceilings, and arches. The presentation was nice and clean. And we had great attentive customer service. The restrooms were interesting with co-ed handwashing areas and private stalls (see pic). We did notice an elevator for those who can't use the stairs. As for parking, there's a lot next door, where you pay on the app per space or can also opt in for valet parking from the south side of the street.
